Easton’s Dr. James Brennan Will Offer Guidance On Using Emotional Intelligence to Deal With Stress

WHAT: The media is invited to attend/cover a special presentation by Dr. James P. Brennan of Easton, sports psychologist for the Villanova University Men’s Basketball Team, which has reached the NCAA “Sweet 16” four times in the last six years, including a Final Four appearance in 2009.

MORE: Dr. Brennan is a human performance consultant and the author of “The Art of Becoming Oneself,” published in August 2011 He is the former Dean of the Wescoe School for Professional Studies at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, P.A. where he continues to teach courses in Human Behavior, Leadership, and Organization Development. He also held the positions of Director of Organization Development, and Director of Human Resources/Labor Relations in the corporate sector.
Since 2001, he has consulted for USAID (United States Agency for International Development), facilitating leadership training workshops in Asia, South America, and the Middle East. From June through December 2007 he directed a human performance training project for the executive managers of Korporata Energjetike E Kosoves, the major public utility for coal mining and electrical power in Kosovo.
Dr. Brennan served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam in 1971-72 as a combat M.P. After his discharge from the armed forces he went on to distinguish himself as a track & field sprinter and decathlete at the University of Wyoming where he earned a B.S. in Psychology, a B.A. in Social Studies, an M.A. in Education, and a Ph.D. in Adult Learning. His doctoral research focused on the nature and realization of psychological maturity.
